What it is
Digestive enzymes break food into pieces small enough to absorb. The blend in DUSK covers carbohydrates, fats, proteins, fibres and the specific sugars that cause gas.
Why it is in ONCE DUSK
Alpha-galactosidase is the one worth knowing about. It breaks down the oligosaccharides in beans, cruciferous vegetables and legumes that your gut bacteria otherwise ferment into gas. It is the same enzyme sold on its own for exactly that purpose.

85 mg of a 14 enzyme blend. Bromelain and papain are deliberately excluded: both are common allergens and both are proteases that can be harsh for sensitive people.

The enzymes, the probiotic, ginger and peppermint are the four gut ingredients in DUSK, and they work at different points. Enzymes act on food that is present. The probiotic works on the microbiome over time. Ginger and peppermint support comfort and carry the flavour.
What to look for on any label
Count the enzymes and look for alpha-galactosidase specifically, because that is the one that targets gas from beans and cruciferous vegetables. Check for bromelain and papain: both are common allergens and harsh for some people, and their presence is a reasonable reason to choose something else. Enzyme activity is properly measured in activity units rather than milligrams, so a brand that publishes those is telling you more than one that publishes only a weight.
Enzymes work on food that is present. They are not a treatment for a digestive condition, and if bloating is persistent or painful that is a doctor's question, not a supplement's.
